The largest natural lake in Honduras, Lake Yojoa is located only 96 km South of San Pedro Sula on the main highway to Tegucigalpa. World famous for its black bass fishing, Lake Yojoa offers a unique scenery, a cool climate for a refreshing change from the hot lowlands of the north coast. Lake Yojoa offers some of the best bird watching opportunities in the country.
The lake is surrounded by two National Parks with a cloud forest habitat, Cerro Azul Meámbar on the southern shore and Santa Barbara on the northern side. This tour includes a stop at the beautiful Pullapanzak Waterfalls, located a short 30 minutes ride from the lake. We will have time for swimming and bird watching.
